Azizi DeSouza

 

Azizi DeSouza is a multidisciplinary American artist based in Miami, Florida. A graduate of New World School of the Arts, his formal training in fine art laid the foundation for a practice that spans acrylic and oil painting, ink drawing, digital media, mixed media, and installation.

DeSouza’s work is a powerful exploration of ethnic identity, examining the lingering effects of historical trauma and the ways in which society often distances itself from accountability and collective healing. Through layered mediums and evocative imagery, he invites viewers into a space of reflection and reckoning—aiming to create a cathartic visual experience where empathy becomes both the process and the goal.
